Muscaris – Bokkereyder

Muscaris 2015, Bokkereyder.

Blend of lambics, infused with Muscaris grapes. Bokkereyder harvests these Muscaris grapes from the Hoenshof wine domain in Belgian Limburg. The Muscaris grape variety is an offspring of the Muscat grape with a better resistance against diseases and spoilage.

The Muscaris grapes are pressed after 2 separate cold macerations, 1 overnight maceration and one extended maceration of about 3 weeks for tanins, and the grape juice is blended with lambic in a barrel for a longer maturation. The 2 blends come together for the final bottling blend with the addition of some younger lambic.
